The Sacramento Kings have been the laughingstock of the league for the last 16 years but this season, they said " no more".
Sacramento has a 10-7 record and sits fifth in the Western Conference. They just suffered a loss to the Atlanta Hawks, but had won 7 straight games prior to Wednesday's game.
The Team
After starting the season 0-4, the Kings were poised to have another disappointing season, but since then, they’ve turned things around.
They average the most points, they’re top five in field goal percentage, assists, true shooting percentage, effective field goal percentage and offensive rating. New head coach Mike Brown has made them one of the most efficient teams in the league.

The Star
The Kings have had some star players over the years, like Mike Bibby, Ron Artest, and DeMarcus Cousins and haven't made the playoffs since 2005. Now, they have De'Aaron Fox.
Fox is everything that the Kings need him to be. He's averaging 25.4 points and 6.3 assists, but the best part of his game is how clutch he is. The Kings guard ranks 6th in clutch points per game (4.5) and first in clutch field goal percentage (64.5%) amongst qualified players. He is finally blossoming into the all-star Sacramento needs.
The Rest
While the stars are shining in Sacramento, the role players have been vital to the team's success. New additions Kevin Heurter and Malik Monk, as well as Harrison Barnes and Domantas Sabonis, are all averaging north of 13 points. In total, they have six players averaging 11+ points per game, which has led to their team's success.
The Beam
There’s no question that the Kings have looked good, but the season is young. That being said, the Kings have the incentive to win games this year: After each win, the stadium shoots a purple beam into the sky. So far, they've done it 10 times, let's see how many more times they'll do it this season.
